GeoAlarm ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application GeoAlarm (the "App").
Information We Collect
Location Information
- Device Location: GeoAlarm uses your device's location services to provide location-based alarm functionality. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
- Alarm Locations: The geographic coordinates of your alarm locations are stored locally on your device using Core Data.
User-Created Data
- Alarm Information: Names, notes, radius settings, and notification preferences for your alarms are stored locally on your device.
- Favorite Locations: Saved favorite locations (Premium feature) are stored locally on your device.
- User Preferences: App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.
Purchase Data
- In-App Purchases: Information about your Premium subscription is managed by Apple's App Store. We receive minimal transaction data necessary to verify your subscription status.
Usage Data
- No Analytics: We do not collect usage analytics, crash reports, or any behavioral data about how you use the app.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide location-based alarm notifications when you enter designated areas
- Store your alarm preferences and favorite locations locally on your device
- Verify your Premium subscription status through Apple's StoreKit
- Provide app functionality as described in the App Store listing
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage Only
- All data stays on your device: GeoAlarm does not have backend servers. All alarm data, location information, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Core Data.
- No cloud sync: Your data is not synced to any cloud service or transmitted to external servers.
- Device encryption: Data stored on your device benefits from iOS device encryption when enabled.
Location Data
- On-device processing: Location data is processed using Apple's native CoreLocation framework and never leaves your device.
- Geofencing technology: We use Apple's energy-efficient geofencing technology which monitors location boundaries without continuous GPS tracking.
- No location history: We do not maintain a history of your location movements.

We integrate with the following Apple services:

Important: All services listed above are provided by Apple and are first-party iOS system services. GeoAlarm does not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
Your Rights and Choices
You have complete control over your data:
Data Access and Deletion
- View your data: All your data is visible within the app (alarms list, favorites, settings)
- Delete specific items: Delete individual alarms or favorite locations at any time
- Delete all data: Use "Delete All Alarms" or "Reset App" in Settings to remove all stored information
- Uninstall: Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data
Managing Permissions
You can manage app permissions through your device settings:
Location Services (Required)
- "When In Use": Basic functionality, manual location updates
- "Always Allow": Required for background geofencing and reliable alarm triggers
- Disable: Disabling location services will prevent alarms from functioning
To manage: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > GeoAlarm
Notifications (Recommended)
- Enable: Required to receive alarm alerts
- Disable: You will not receive alarm notifications
- Notification Types: Choose between sound, vibration, or silent alerts
To manage: Settings > Notifications > GeoAlarm
Background App Refresh (Recommended)
- Enable: Improves alarm reliability
- Disable: May affect alarm performance
To manage: Settings > General > Background App Refresh > GeoAlarm
Children's Privacy
GeoAlarm is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. All data is stored locally on the user's device and not transmitted to any servers.

International Data Transfers
Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not operate servers, there are no international data transfers.

- Local storage: Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
- Subscription data: Apple retains subscription transaction data according to their privacy policy
- No server data: We do not store any user data on servers
Battery and Performance
GeoAlarm is designed to minimize battery usage:
- Uses Apple's energy-efficient geofencing technology
- Does not perform continuous GPS tracking
- Only monitors location when crossing alarm boundaries
- Respects iOS power management settings
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on our support page
- Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
- Providing an in-app notification for significant changes
Your continued use of GeoAlarm after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
